DPSMUN 2009

Dearest delegates,

It gives me great pleasure to address you all as the Director General of DPSMUN 2009.

Poverty, economic and health crises, threat from Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs), wars, violence, etc plague the world today. Talks, discussions, negotiations have failed yet again. Now, the entire world calls upon the youth to solve the various issues that pose a threat to the planet.

Keeping this in mind, D.P.S Sharjah gives you a golden opportunity to play the role of delegates in the various committees of the United Nations. You will resolve problems with diplomacy, thus paving a way for you to become global leaders that the world needs.

A variety of topics ranging from peaceful uses of Nuclear technology, Sovereignty and Humanitarian Intervention, Water scarcity to the Economic crisis and Oceans and Law of the Sea have been chosen for debate in DPSMUN 2009. DPSMUN allows you to improve your public speaking, writing, negotiating and leadership skills. It will make you a more confident person, ready to face challenges with courage, and with your developed skills, you will be able to change the world.
