On 24th January 2011, the school witnessed an event that would remain in the minds of the students not just for many years to come but for their entire life. It was the day Dr APJ Abdul Kalam graced the school with his presence. Teachers and students of various schools enjoyed the privilege of hearing his words of wisdom as he addressed them during the Teachers Forum and the Youth Forum organised by DPS Sharjah.
Principal Ms. Vandana Marwaha welcomed the guests and focused on the importance of the youth, dubbing them the most precious asset and energy vectors of innovation. Dr Kalam then declared the youth forum open and spoke on the topic, "Rejuvenating Earth". Dr Kalam's speech was wonderfully supported by facts, figures, statistical data and real life experiences. His speech moved one and all and made everyone's day even more special.
