Math Quiz Report (Junior and Senior)
The Inter House Math Quiz for
middle school students (VI to VIII) was conducted on 20th May 2014 and
for senior school students (IX to XI) on 21st May, 2014 from 8.30a.m to
10.00 am in the new auditorium. 32 students from four houses, Amazon,
Danube, Indus and Nile, participated in the Quiz. There were 8 teams in
all comprising of four teams from girls and four from boys. Selection of
the participants was done in a very fair, planned and systematic manner
by conducting a written selection round on 8th May, 2014. Selected
candidates were informed and made to prepare rigorously before
representing their respective houses.
JUNIOR QUIZ
– (VI to VIII)
The quiz was conducted in four rounds. It started with direct round
followed by puzzle round, visual round and concluded with the rapid fire
round. All the participants solved the questions enthusiastically along
with the audience.
SENIOR QUIZ – (IX to XI)
The Senior Quiz comprised of many interesting rounds like Option round,
Picture round, Visual round, Buzzer round and Rapid fire round. Students
recognized pictures of famous mathematicians and solved picture puzzles
in the picture and visual round. Their speed was tested in the rapid
fire round where they answered a maximum of eight questions in one
minute. Some questions were posed to the audience to which they answered
enthusiastically. On the whole it was an enriching, interesting and fun
filled activity.
