First Step Towards Green Energy - DPS Sharjah Goes Solar

The first off-grid solar Panel was installed in the School Campus on 14th April 2013. Electricity generated by this Panel will currently run the Boys Canteen (near the Book shop) for 6 hours. These high efficiency solar modules convert solar energy into electrical energy, which can be used to power the loads or to charge the battery. The panels are placed on the roof of the staff villa above the bookshop.

This project, funded by WWF-EWS as part of an Eco School Project, was designed by our school within the budget of Dhs. 5000.

This is the first step towards adopting Green Energy for our school.
