The Senior Wing of DPS Sharjah celebrated ‘GRATIS’- ‘the cheer of thanks giving’ with great joy and gratitude on 14th December 2016. This day was marked to thank all those who come together as a team to contribute to the school and the community. The occasion saw the spirited participation of students, parents and teachers which displayed unmatched gusto and flair.

The event was adorned with the presence of the respected Principal Ms. Vandana Marwaha, Head Master Mr. Rajiv, Sr Supervisor Mr. Abbu Varughese, Supervisor Ms. Monica Chelani, the parents and the teachers.

The celebration commenced with Quran recitation followed by National Anthems. With melodious and greatly synchronized songs, individual family performances by Aryaman, Ruel, Nihir and Minhaz with their parents brought forth the close family bonds that our students share.  Even a teacher-parent Ms. Nidhi Dilip and her son, Mithul rendered a mesmerizing song. The audience was fascinated by the spectacular musical talent presented by the teachers and fashion show by Arabic teachers added to the fervor in the atmosphere.

The students of Grade X enthralled the audience with their scintillating and rhythmic musical band. The celebration also included program by students of Grades IX & X where they sang and danced to the tunes of songs showcasing their love and gratitude for each other. The students were filled-in with a festive mood when their teachers, Ms. Manju Samuel and Ms. Priya sang Christmas Carols. The celebration concluded by giving gifts to the participants as a token of appreciation.

Though celebrations come in many different flavors but we all have one single essence- To spread love and gratitude.
