Investiture Ceremony - Primary Wing, 2019-20

On 14th of May, 2019 the Investiture Ceremony thus marked the inaugural of the Primary Student Council for 2019-20. It brought with it a lot of excitement and celebration as the newly elected members of the Prefectorial Board took oath in the glorious ceremony cheered by their friends, teachers and most of all their ecstatic parents.


The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the holy Quran followed by its translation. The heart touching melodious song - ‘Yesterday’s Dream’ by the choir of DPS, Primary perfectly suited the event.


The Senior Headmistress, Kashmira Ma’am gave the welcome speech and emphasized on the fact that how the qualities of leadership are instilled in the students of DPS, Sharjah as early as when they are in the Primary Wing.


It was a spectacular sight when our young leaders marched in and filled the auditorium with their positive energy.


Our esteemed Chief Guest, Principal and Director Vandana Ma’am addressed the gathering, stating how leaders should empower themselves. She also mentioned that through hard work, perseverance and consistency any aim is attainable.


The newly elected leaders were conferred badges by Vandana Ma’am and Kashmira Ma’am. They administered the oath whereby they vowed to be good leaders, shouldering responsibility efficiently. It was a proud moment for all the parents to witness their children being invested with great responsibilities while embarking on a new journey as leaders.


This was followed by the maiden speeches of our Head Boy, Shreyas Krishna and Head Girl, Azzah Abrar. Our newly elected Vice Head Boy, Daksh Sharma and Vice Head Girl, Myreen Imran expressed their gratitude to all the people who have helped to make this day a memorable one.


The function concluded with the National Anthems of The UAE and India. This was indeed a proud moment for all the students, parents and teachers of the school. The event ended on a note of positivity and a sense of fulfillment for our young leaders.
