Registrations open for audition
for the interschool English Elocution Competition to be hosted by the Millennium School, Dubai in the months of April- May

Registration details:

Send in your interest to interschoolevents@gmail.com referring to S.No, Name, Class & sec and the age category latest by 8th April 2019. Entries made after the given deadline will not be accepted.

The competition is restricted to boys only.

Criteria for Participation:

A team of 3 participants, one in each of the following categories will represent the middle and senior school. The details are as follows.

Please note the following guidelines

v Participants must refrain from using hand gestures to enhance their delivery

v Participants must render the speech without the aid of a microphone

v The rendering should be from memory. No books/ slips of paper permitted

v Students need to prepare prose/ poetry according to the time line and category mentioned above.

v Register for the competition after ensuring that your age pertains to any of the category mentioned above.

v The content of the selected piece must confirm to ministry regulations and to be age appropriate

v Students need to carry a hardcopy of the prose/poem for the audition.

v Also ensure that a good piece is selected for rendition as the same will be delivered for the competition if selected in the audition.

EVALUATION:

v Points will be awarded on the basis of audibility, clarity, pronunciation, voice modulation, posture and confidence.

v Points will be deducted for over-dramatization, exceeding the time limit and lapse of memory.
