SCHOLAR BADGE CEREMONY MIDDLE SCHOOL-2009

The scholar badge ceremony, a unique tradition of the DPS family, was organized in the  New Auditorium of the school on 18 April, 09 in order to felicitate outstanding achievers of the academic year, 2008-09. Categories included excellence in academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Separate functions were held for boys and girls. The girls’ programme began with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed by a dance based on the amalgamation of the five elements.
     

For the girls’ function Mr. Shahzaad Dala, Vice-Chairman- ILFS, India, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Mr. Abhay Pathak, Regional Manager, Indian Airlines was the Guest of Honour.

In the boys’ function, Mr. Sudhakar Gupta, Director-International Business Development graced the occasion  as the Chief Guest and Mr. Mathew Jacob, Marketing Manager- Tiffany, and Ms. Preena, Head - Marketing were the Guests of Honour. In keeping with the local tradition, the boys’ function also began with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed by a melodious rendition.

  • ARNAV GARG – GRADE 7
  • CHRISTY PAUL JOSEPH – GRADE 8

The Class Topper positions were all won by the girls

  • SHWETA ASHOK KUMAR GRADE 6
  • PRASHATI NAGPAL GRADE 6
  • NIKHITA CHANDRASEKHAR GRADE 7
  • SYEDA AREEJ MAHMOOD GRADE 8
         

The programme came to an end with the Principal, Ms. Vandana Marwaha expressing gratitude to all who graced the occasion to make it such a resounding success.
