The Beautiful Dream

Once there was a girl named Dandelion. She was playing hide and seek with her brothers and sisters and did not get any place to hide. But then, she found a room where there was a cupboard and she went inside to hide. She realized that the cupboard was covered with snow. She then found a book and when she turned the pages she saw a page with the words ‘abra-ka-fairyland’. She said the spell out aloud and went inside the book. It wasn’t a trap. She entered another world where butterflies formed a magic carpet and carried Dandelion through the air. Dandelion was surprised and realized that this was no ordinary world. She then saw a fairy coming towards her. The fairy granted her three wishes.

Dandelion’s first wish was for a beautiful dress and her second was for a pony. However, she didn’t use her third wish.

She went all over the world and realized that this world was full of magical creatures. She went to the Cloud Queen and asked her where she was. The queen told her she was in Fantasy Land.

Dandelion spotted a tree house and wanted to explore it. But, she couldn’t reach it because it was so high. The tree then picked her up with its branches and took her to the tree house. There she was surprised to find people from her world. They were crying and were very sad. She asked them, “What happened? Why are you crying?” They replied, “We had three wishes and we used them all up. Now we have no way to go back home. We are trapped and we miss our world.”

So she went to the fairy and told her that she wanted to use her third wish. When the fairy heard the little girl’s wish, she was taken aback. “Why do want to go home? Do you not like this place?” the fairy asked. Dandelion replied, “I love this place! But I do not belong here. God has not created me as a fairy but as a human. So please transfer not only me but all of us back to our own world.” The fairy granted her wish.

Dandelion woke up to her mother calling for breakfast and she realised it was all just a dream! But she knew, deep inside her heart, that a world like that truly existed.
