Never Say Die 

She gazed at the horizon,

Lost in her thoughts.

She had aimed to reach for the stars,

But the circumstances,

Brought her aspirations crashing down.

And as she forced back the tears

Brimming in her eyes,

Through a blur she saw

A shooting star,

Shining brightly even as it fell!

She knew then what she had to do.

She would be like the star,

Shining brightly and always reaching far,

Her aspirations alive and her aims set high,

She had learnt Never to say Die.
