No matter how big the success is, all exemplary accomplishments and achievements have in common, a great deal of determination, hard work, and commitment.

The prestigious Award Ceremony of DPS Sharjah was staged in the New Auditorium on 2nd May 2014 to recognize the outstanding attainment of our students. The day began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp followed by inauguration of the Language Lab in the Primary Wing by Shri. Pramod Grover. The Award Ceremony was initiated with an invocation to the All-powerful. The assembled students, parents and teachers were humbled to have the revered presence of Shri. Pramod Grover, Chairperson, Managing committee, DPS Sharjah LLC.

Mr Dinesh Kothari, Pro Vice Chairman-DPS Sharjah, DPS Dubai, DPS Jodhpur and DPS Academy, Mrs Kothari, Mr Ali Al Khayal, Director-DPS Sharjah, Ms Malathi Das, Principal-Indian School, Ajman and Ms Sandhya Awasthi, Principal, DPS Academy were the other distinguished guests who graced the occasion with their august presence.

Our Principal, Mrs Vandana Marwaha, whose genuine inspiration and morale-boosting motivation has profoundly contributed DPS Sharjah to scale new heights, congratulated all the achievers highlighting the importance of consistent effort in the pursuit of excellence and motivated the students to continue working diligently to achieve their goal. She appreciated the faculty too for their selfless untiring efforts.

The green initiatives of the school were showcased through a presentation which was displayed concurrently along with a melodious song on nature ‘Yeh Kaun Chitrakaar hai’ presented by tiny tots of primary wing.

In his speech our Pro-Vice Chairman, Mr Dinesh C. Kothari, congratulated the young achievers on attaining this important milestone on the way to their ultimate goal. He stressed that perseverance is the quality which makes a student stand out.

The typical daily activity of a Dipsite, which is the building block of the zenith of accomplishment of our school, was depicted through an innovative video clip ‘Wow but How!’

This was followed by inauguration of DPS Sharjah yearbook ‘Learning Unlimited’ by our chief guest, guests of honour and our honourable Principal Ma’am.

Congratulating all the students, Chief Guest, Mr Pramod Grover praised students for their achievement. He also advised them to aim higher and continue their pursuit of excellence with full confidence and self-belief.

A motivational amalgamation in the form of a rejuvenating dance performance by students, teachers and parents; a classical rhapsody by Nicole Ruth, were the other cultural highlights of the day.

The eagerly anticipated felicitation and award distribution began with honouring awardees of Hamdan and Sharjah award. This was followed by felicitation of students for their brilliant performances in various fields.

With the Vote of Thanks, the functions came to an end. However, it was just a prelude to many more celebrations in future.
