AWARENESS PROGRAM ON INTERNET SAFETY

The Internet is a wonderful resource for children. They can use it to research school reports, communicate with teachers and other kids, and play interactive games. Kids who are old enough to swipe a screen can have access to the world.

But this access can also pose hazards. As part of Child Protection Initiative, Counseling Center conducted an interactive, educational session to help teach children how to be safer on and offline.

The presentation for grade 7 & 8 students was conducted on 13th June 2018 by Ms Elizabeth, School Counselor.

The talk aimed to Educate children on how to recognize potential Internet risks, Engage children and adults in a two-way conversation about on and offline risks and Empower children to help prevent themselves from being exploited and to report victimization to a trusted adult.

We hope that after attending this session our students are able to identify online dangers and practice safer behaviors.
