Bizz Quiz
Objectives: To arouse interest among students to acquire knowledge about business and finance.
Participation: One team per school comprising 3 students.
Fields covered: Business, Economics, Finance and Marketing.
Rounds: Elimination round. Final round - 6 teams.

Rules & Regulations:
1. BizzQuiz is open to all students of grades XI and XII who have opted for the commerce stream or have economics as one core subject.
2. Each school shall send one team comprising 3 students.number of participants in each team to be strictly followed.
3. The quiz will cover areas of business, finance,commerce,stock market,accounting,management and current affairs of the business world.
4. A preliminary Elimination round will be conducted and the 6 winning teams from the elimination round will go into Final round which will be conducted on the same day.
5. All entries must come in by the 30th of September 2011.No entries will be entertained after 30th of September 2011.
6. The registration fee per team will be Dhs 50/-
7. Student and team identity not to be revealed during the event.
8. The decision made by the quiz master shall be final.

Halla Bol - A Street Play
Objectives: To create awareness among students about social, economic and ethical issues.
Participation: One team per school comprising not more than 8 students.
Subject: Socio-economic issues and ethics.
Time Limit: 8 minutes
Language: English, Hindi.Act and language befitting the school decorum, No background music allowed, Only props.

Rules & Regulations:
1. comprising not more than 8 students (including volunteers who will work only off stage).
2. Each team is expected to abide by the given topic i.e. ‘Business Ethics and Consumer Protection.
3. Duration of each act should be 8 mins. Time limit should be strictly adhered to
4. Background music or pre-recorded sound tracks are not permitted, only props allowed (Participants are expected to carry their own props & other necessary items)
5. Language used should suit the school decorum
6. Students participating in this event will not be allowed to participate in any other event.
7. Only students of Grades XI & XII (Commerce, Humanities & Science with Eco) can participate.
8. Decision of the Judges will be final and respected
9.Languages Permitted : English & Hindi.
10. Participants cannot take any person’s name or specify the name of any country. It must be as generalized as possible.

The Ad Mad Show - Advertisement of a Product or Service

Objectives: Students to learn the introduction of product/service in the market.
Participation: One team per school comprising 8 students for each event.
Event Description: Skit-maximum 6 minutes including set-up.
Emphasis on: Originality of idea, Linguistic Fluency & Acting skills

Rules & Regulations:
1. Each school would be permitted ONE TEAM comprising of 8 students only.
2. Duration of each act should be 6 mins. Time limit should be strictly adhered to.
3. Vulgarity of Action, Language, Costumes and Controversial topics like Politics and Religion would lead to disqualification of the team.
4. Participating teams should bring their own Props and other requirements.
5. Names of the existing products and services should not be used in order to maintain originality.
6. Languages Permitted : English & Hindi.
7.Decision of the Judges will be final and respected
8.Volunteers of the team will work off stage.
9.Judgement Criteria: Originality of the idea (jingle and tagline), Fluency of the language, Acting skills, Costumes and Props used.

Bulls & Bears - The Financial Forum
Objectives: To update students on the working of financial markets
Participation: One team of two students per school.
Features: The participants will assume the role of investors, each working individually.The stock market will initially have IPOs of ten fictitious firms and participants will be updated on changes in the value of securities and they must make informed decisions and prepare the best possible portfolio

Rules & Regulations:
Procedural Details:
1. Each participant be allotted a budget (cash) to purchase shares on offer by the firms.
2. According to the buying and selling of the shares, the price will fluctuate.
3. These price changes will be announced by the admin staff on a periodic basis
4. The participants will be shown news clippings about the firms (these will include circumstances that will test the skills of the participants to take wise decisions).
5.Brokers are to lobby and carry out buying and selling, details of which will be given during the mock simulation..
Basic Rules:
1.The working language of the event will be English
2.Each participant is to assume the role of a stock broker.
3.Each school is allowed two participants who work individually.
4.Students will be given a brief history about the firms present in the stock market, which they must study and use to make informed decisions..
5.
Participants must maintain a formal code-of-conduct
6 Students must bring with them a USB which will act as their e-portfolio.
Procedural Rules:
1.Brokers are not allowed to use informal language while lobbying,
2.All transactions must be carried out under the purview of a cashier (no informal transactions will be approved)
3 . Brokers are not permitted to leave the stock market with their USB’s
4. Laptops are not permitted in the stock market
5 .No observers from schools will be permitted inside the stock market
6 .Students found violating any of the aforementioned rules will be disqualified
7.Decisions made by the admin staff are final and binding and any difficulties or irregularities can be brought to the attention of the admin staff.

 
Entregate - Entrepreneurs’ Hall of Fame
Objective: To pave the way for budding entrepreneurs
Participation: Each team will have three participants. The participants will coordinate with each other for Presentation, Speech, IT Logistics & Question-Answer round.
Features: The entrepreneur delegated by the team must be well versed with the biography of the entrepreneur, his policies and business strategies which pilot their enterprise’s success.

Rules & Regulations:
1. Three member team ( all inclusive )
2. Time limit is 8mins (5 mins for the presentation and 3 mins for 2 questions which is to be answered by the team)
3 .The first question will be a buzzer round. The other competitive teams get a chance to question the team.
4.The second question would come from the jury’s desk.
5 . Presentation should throw light on the life and achievements of the chosen entrepreneur. The teams should be well versed with the policies and strategies adopted by the entrepreneur.
6 . The teams get to choose from a list of 15 entrepreneurs at the time of online registration.
7.The choice is purely on first-cum-first-serve basis. Once a team chooses an entrepreneur from the list, the link closes for other teams.

8. The teams would be evaluated on the following basis:
• Content and the presentation skills.
• Overall involvement of the team
• Answer to the first question.
• Answer to the second question.
• The quality of questions put to the other teams.
• Whether the time limit is adhered to or not.
